What We Do

CosmoBridge’s comprehensive suite of programs is designed to meet the diverse needs of immigrant women, youth, children, seniors, and newcomers in Airdrie, Alberta. By aligning our initiatives with the priorities of the Government of Canada, we aim to secure funding that will enable us to empower and support the immigrant community effectively. Through these programs, CosmoBridge is committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and prosperous community for all immigrants.

Objective: To empower immigrant women by providing skills training, mentorship, and support to start and grow their businesses.

Components:

  • Business Skills Training: Workshops on business planning, financial management, marketing, and digital literacy.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Pairing participants with successful women entrepreneurs and business leaders.
  • Networking Events: Opportunities to connect with other women entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals.
  • Certification Programs: Facilitate certification courses that enhance credibility and employability.

Funding Rationale: This program aligns with federal and provincial initiatives to support women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Objective: To provide immigrant youth with educational support, leadership training, and career development opportunities.This program supports youth engagement and education, which are key priorities for the Government of Canada.

Components:

  • Educational Support: Tutoring and academic mentoring to improve school performance and graduation rates.
  • Leadership Training: Workshops on public speaking, team management, and community service.
  • Career Development: Resume building, interview preparation, and job placement assistance.
  • STEM Initiatives: Encouraging participation in science, technology, engineering, and math through specialized workshops and projects.

Objective: To help newcomers integrate into Canadian society through language training, cultural orientation, and employment services.

Objective: To enhance the quality of life for immigrant seniors through social, recreational, and support services.This program supports the well-being of seniors, a priority area for the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Components:

  • Social Activities: Group outings, hobby clubs, and cultural events to reduce social isolation.
  • Health and Wellness: Workshops on healthy living, fitness classes, and mental health support.
  • Support Services: Assistance with accessing healthcare, transportation, and other essential services.

Intergenerational Programs: Activities that connect seniors with youth to share skills, knowledge, and experiences.

Objective: To provide comprehensive support services to all immigrants in Airdrie, enhancing their economic and social integration.This program addresses broad immigrant support needs, aligning with multiple federal and provincial funding priorities.

Components:

  • Employment Services: Job search assistance, resume writing, and interview preparation.
  • Legal and Financial Advice: Access to legal, financial, and tax advice to help immigrants navigate Canadian systems.
  • Mental Health Support: Counseling services and mental health workshops.
  • Community Engagement: Networking events, volunteer opportunities, and cultural celebrations to foster community integration.
